Guaranteeing Prosperity
– Back to Articles
Having defined the products of an organization and its individual staff (See the article “What is a “Product”), one can then determine the effectiveness and prosperity of a group by evaluating the exchange levels of these products within that group, and between the group and the public it serves.
The lowest level of exchange is called “rip-off.” I get something from you and give nothing in exchange. This is the exchange level of criminals.
The next higher level is a partial exchange. I offer you something but only give part of what was expected. The customer goes elsewhere or, with staff at this level, replacement is appropriate. It should be noted that staff who are not trained correctly for their jobs are the result of an HR area that operates at partial exchange or rip-off.
The next higher level is fair exchange. I offer you X and give you X. This is a common level of exchange of butchers and bakers and receptionists and so on, but does not guarantee prosperity as any errors bring this level of exchange in to a partial exchange, and the persons for whom the exchange is intended are betrayed.
The highest level of exchange is an exchange in abundance. I offer you X but give you X PLUS. The plus can be better service than you expected or a follow-up that was greeted with pleasant surprise by the customer. It is value-added.
If every point in your group exchanges its products at this highest level, prosperity is guaranteed.
